Job Overview
Camping de Chênefleur is located 335 Km from Utrecht, on the river Semois, close to the French and Luxembourg border. The climate in this gently rolling region also called the Land of Gaume is characterized by higher average temperatures and less rainfall than the rest of Belgium. The campsite of 9 ha is characterized by its variety of pitches and its green, natural and attractive appearance. There are about 200 pitches, but Camping de Chênefleur also has mobile homes, camping bungalows and fully equipped tents for rental. In the early season, the campsite is frequented by families with small children and seniors. In high season there are about 800 guests, mainly from the Netherlands, but Belgians (both Dutch- and French-speaking), French, Danes, Germans and English are also represented. Camping de Chênefleur is a typical family campground in high season as well as in the minor vacations. Our entertainment/recreation program and our outdoor sports program (in cooperation with a number of partners) offers a variety of activities for young and old. The Chênefleur is open from March to October; has a permanent team of 4 staff members and is helped in the small vacations and high season by about 20 students (not to mention volunteers) to make the guests feel comfortable.
We offer:

We expect:
As a Chef, you will work at the campground from mid-March to early October. The campsite has an attractive restaurant and a professionally equipped kitchen. Cooking is your passion and you surprise the guests with a special range of dishes. The menu is your responsibility, as well as ordering, stock control, HACCP work and administration. The snack/pizza is staffed by seasonal employees whom you manage and support. Here too you take care of the orders, stock management, HACCP activities and administration. In the early and late season when it is quiet in the restaurant, you support the other seasonal employees with their work. In high season you do not have the time for this and you will be supported by a kitchen and dishwashing assistant.
